This project extends a cemetery with new burial places alongside with parking lot with sufficient capacity. We smooth out the current wrinkles and look for missing links. We are thinking about materials, contrasts, walls, empty spaces and the spaces in between. We propose alternatives to the traditional way of burial. A grove of memories is created with a columbarium. It is a space for final farewells, for living memories and for nature and art. We look at death as part of life and wish to see this place become more of a park and a reason to walk, where one can be quiet and contemplate. The landscaping addresses current problematic water and soil conditions. The design works with new tree to create natural sacred spaces that bring shade and rustle in the branches.
